About the role
This position is responsible for providing effective instruction for assigned courses.
Responsibilities
- Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner
- Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance
- Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour
- Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
- Grades and returns student work in a timely manner
- Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course
- Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course
- Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching
- Remains up to date on technology and methods of teaching with technology
Requirements
- Master's degree in Accounting OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Accounting
- Candidate's with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related subject area, may be considered for instructor vacancies teaching non-transferrable courses

- Preferences: Post-secondary teaching experience, Work experience in a Community College setting, Work experience in Accounting, Online teaching experience, Involvement in professional accounting organizations, Professional Certification(s)
