Adjunct Instructor - Academic Preparation (LIEOC)
Job Summary
The LIEOC at Farmingdale State College periodically seeks experienced instructors to teach academic courses in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies to adult learners at levels ranging from foundational skills to college preparation. Classes are offered on various days of the week on both morning and evening schedules in both in person and online modalities.

Job Requirements
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in education or targeted content area.
- At least three years of experience teaching.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Willingness to teach mornings or evenings.
- Ability to teach in person and online.
- Experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- A Philosophy of education appropriate for the adult learner.
- Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- A Doctoral Degree in Higher Education, Adult Education, or a targeted content area.
- At least five years of experience teaching in adult education, higher education, and/or IEP settings.
- Knowledge of D2L Brightspace and Banner.
- Experience using online platforms/instructional technology.
- Knowledge or TABE testing.
