ADJUNCT - GEOLOGY POOL
Position Information
This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time/adjunct assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. AN APPLICATION IS VALID FOR ONE YEAR, AT WHICH TIME APPLICANTS WISHING TO REMAIN IN THE POOL MUST REAPPLY AND UPDATE THEIR INFORMATION.
Position Summary Information
The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
- Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree with a minimum of (18) graduate hours in the discipline.
- Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students. Ability to maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at the secondary or college level. Successful experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.

Job Duties
- Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
- Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
