Responsibilities
- Teach developmental and/or college-level courses, including distance-learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends.
- Primarily face-to-face with the possibility of remote instruction.
- May include teaching at any PVCC location, including the Giuseppe Center in Greene County and correctional facilities in Fluvanna, Buckingham, and Dillwyn.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Requirements
- Master’s in Geology or master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in Geology.
- Two years teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with on-line teaching.
Qualifications
- Expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience.
Benefits
Pay range is $819-$1693 per credit hour, based on experience and rank upon hire.
Schedule
Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed.
