Adjunct Fall 2026 - Medical Assistant (MOA) Instructor

Position Type: Faculty (Part Time)

About the Role

Support the goals and mission of the college by providing quality instruction to students and communicating with your department chair or administrator. Teaching duties will consist of courses from the Medical Assistant curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses from the Medical Assistant curriculum, which may include:
  • MOA 115
  • MOA 141
  • MOA 142
  • MOA 144
  • MOA 147

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in health science or related field
• CMA, RMA, or certification, registration, or licensure as a healthcare professional
• Minimum 2,000 hours of relevant work experience
• Certain courses may require additional requirements

Qualifications

• Appropriate certification or licensure, or Associate’s degree in a health science discipline or related field
• Registered Nurse, Certified Medical Assistant, or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) with recent ambulatory clinical experience preferred
• Knowledge of course content, as evidenced by education and/or experience
• Education or experience in effective direction and evaluation of student learning and laboratory performance
• Preparation in educational theory and techniques
• Credentialed or eligible for national credentialing as a medical assistant is desirable

Schedule

Primarily evenings at the main campus. Hours to be determined.

Pay

$1,162 per Equated Credit Hour (ECH), hourly.
