College of DuPage seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Spanish at Westmont High School as part of a dual enrollment program.

About the role

Adjunct faculty instructors are responsible for course planning, instruction, and student evaluation in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats. The successful candidate will teach Spanish composition and conversation (SPAN 2251 in Fall 2026 and SPAN 2252 in Spring 2027) at Westmont High School.

Schedule

Classes are most likely scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:50 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver instruction in Spanish composition and conversation.
  • Teach in various formats, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended settings.
  • Evaluate student performance and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Teach remotely using technology as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Spanish or a related field with 18 graduate credits in Spanish.
  • Experience in online or virtual teaching preferred.
  • Access to personal technology and a home computer capable of supporting online instruction.

A pre-employment background check is required. Compensation is provided via stipends for course assignments.
