Adjunct Faculty - Spanish
About the role
The World Languages Program at Lorain County Community College is seeking applicants for the position of adjunct instructor of Spanish. This position reports to the Dean of Arts and Humanities and involves teaching one or two courses of beginning or intermediate Spanish each semester, depending on enrollments. Responsibilities include preparing lectures, grading assignments, conducting speeches, submitting attendance reports, and managing midterm and final grades using Canvas. Additionally, instructors are expected to participate in Adjunct Faculty Convocation.

Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Spanish Language, Spanish Linguistics, Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language
- Two years teaching experience
- A commitment to student success and a global perspective

Qualifications
- Record of outstanding teaching
- Community college teaching experience preferred
- Familiarity with Canvas or other Learning Management Systems preferred
Skills
- Ability to teach beginning or intermediate Spanish
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with online course management systems
