About the role
The Adjunct Faculty Instructor for Short Term Health courses at WSU Tech provides essential subject matter expertise and is responsible for teaching courses designed to prepare students for immediate employment in health-related fields.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise students in all assigned classroom and lab activities and clinicals to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
- Provide clear course objectives and maintain open communication with students regarding content, requirements, and evaluation procedures.
- Develop, revise, and recommend curriculum enhancements to meet course objectives and improve student learning outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to WSU Tech Course Standards by employing effective teaching methods and reflecting current practices in health care.
- Create a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere conducive to student success.
Requirements
- PN Technical Certificate required for LPN, Associates degree required or BSN for RN.
- PREFERRED: Previous teaching or training experience in adult education.
- PREFERRED: Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- PREFERRED: Familiarity with digital learning platforms and willingness to utilize hybrid teaching methods as needed.
