Core Competencies And Qualifications
- Earned Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Apparel, Textiles, Industrial Sewing, Design and Merchandising, Manufacturing, CNC, or a manufacturing-related field with minimum two years industry experience; OR, earned Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in another discipline with a minimum of five years industry experience; OR, earned Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in another discipline with certifications relevant to the course.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 24 months full time work experience in the field.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain curriculum
- Facilitate learning activities so that students learn the principles, theory, skills and work ethic necessary to become proficient for entry level positions
- Create a positive learning environment
- Monitor, assesses and advise learners on technical and academic progress and performance
- Provide midterm and final evaluations
- Use current academic and industry practices in assigned courses of instruction
- Maintain, update, design and/or develop new curriculum within assigned course of instruction
- Attend departmental meetings as requested
- Visit employers in the field
