Responsibilities

The undergraduate Psychology Degree at the College of Professional Studies prepares students with the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to serve individuals, groups, organizations and communities in a global 21st century. The degree provides students with a strong foundational knowledge within the discipline of psychology, including relevant theory and research that promotes social consciousness and intellectual and interpersonal growth. With an emphasis on scientific thinking, ethical behavior, and respect for students, the program cultivates insight about human behaviors and mental processes and demonstrates concern for the wellbeing of their surrounding and global communities. Students can opt to major or minor in the degree and choose from specific tracks in the Verified Course Sequence for applied behavioral analysis or to work across a wide range of settings and populations. Course content includes behavioral science, applied behavioral analysis (I and II), autism spectrum disorders, behavioral measurement and evaluation, opioid crisis, contemporary theoretical perspectives, research methods, and concepts of the human behavior and development; offering students the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics such as scientific inquiry, behavioral and mental processes, cognition and language, learning and memory, social interactions, personality, diagnosis, measurement and intervention.

Qualifications

Skills

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching undergraduate psychology courses and a strong background in the field of psychology.

Pay

The per credit rate is $2,387.03.
