About the role
Adjunct nursing clinical instructors facilitate clinical learning experiences for up to 10 nursing students at a time in healthcare facilities and serve as liaisons between the nursing program and the facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on clinical instruction and supervision of nursing students in the clinical setting
- Facilitate learning experiences that include the nursing process and clinical judgment
- Assess and evaluate student learning, provide timely feedback, and promote student success
- Facilitate development of clinical reasoning skills, professional identity, and effective communication while ensuring safe patient care
- Complete clinical evaluations of student performance weekly, at mid-term, and at the end of term
- Participate in BCTC clinical instructor orientation and course-specific faculty meetings
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing
- At least two years of clinical practice experience
- Unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Kentucky
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- At least two years of clinical practice experience
