Adjunct Faculty - Practical Nursing Instructor

About the role

Adjunct nursing clinical instructors facilitate clinical learning experiences for up to 10 nursing students at a time in healthcare facilities and serve as liaisons between the nursing program and the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on clinical instruction and supervision of nursing students in the clinical setting
• Facilitate learning experiences that include the nursing process and clinical judgment
• Assess and evaluate student learning, provide timely feedback, and promote student success
• Facilitate development of clinical reasoning skills, professional identity, and effective communication while ensuring safe patient care
• Complete clinical evaluations of student performance weekly, at mid-term, and at the end of term
• Participate in BCTC clinical instructor orientation and course-specific faculty meetings

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing
• At least two years of clinical practice experience
• Unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Kentucky

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• At least two years of clinical practice experience
