Adjunct Faculty Position: College Algebra

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Teach an undergraduate course on college algebra in the context of a Christian perspective
• Plan lessons and assignments
• Provide effective instruction
• Grade assignments
• Respond to student inquiries
• Submit final grades
• Support retention efforts through early identification of students who are struggling
• Offer students the needed academic support
• Provide positive encouragement

Qualifications

• An appreciation and understanding of the mission of Covenant College
• An M.S. or higher in mathematics (or a related field), or completion of at least 9 hours of graduate mathematics courses from an accredited institution
• A demonstrated record of experience teaching algebra at the college or high school level

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
