Adjunct Faculty – Physical Science/Physics

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Course planning and instruction in classroom and/or laboratory settings in Physical Science and Physics courses.
• Teach introductory and general education courses, as well as algebra-based or calculus-based physics, depending on departmental needs.
• Incorporate effective teaching strategies, utilize appropriate laboratory and demonstration techniques where applicable, and support student engagement and comprehension of scientific concepts.
• Student evaluation, maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance, departmental communication, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience at the college level.
• Experience teaching introductory or general education physical science or physics courses.
• Experience with laboratory instruction and/or online teaching platforms.
