About the role

Join Florida Polytechnic University — Florida’s all-STEM public university and the #1 public college in the South — as a part-time adjunct instructor in Philosophy. In this role, you will engage high-achieving undergraduate math, science, and engineering majors in face-to-face classes, such as Introduction to Philosophy, which serves as an introduction to the nature of philosophy, philosophical thinking, and major intellectual movements and figures in the history of philosophy, along with classical and contemporary problems and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Engage high-achieving undergraduate math, science, and engineering majors in face-to-face classes.
  • Teach Introduction to Philosophy and related courses.
  • Develop and deliver face-to-face course content.
  • Contribute to the academic community through teaching and research.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution with at least 18 credit hours in the discipline.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in teaching or industry preferred.
