About the role

The Natural Sciences Department at LaGuardia Community College, part of the City University of New York (CUNY), is inviting applications for part-time faculty positions to teach college-level Chemistry courses for the Fall 2026 semester, starting on September 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach lectures and/or labs
• Create, administer, and grade assessments (quizzes, exams, lab reports)
• Provide student guidance

Qualifications

• Adjunct Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field required. Scholarship or achievement, and cooperation with others.
• Adjunct Lecturer: Master's degree or enrollment in a graduate program in a relevant field preferred. Scholarship or achievement, and cooperation with others.

Compensation

• Adjunct Lecturer: $112.50/hr
• Adjunct Assistant Professor: $120.83/hr
