Adjunct Faculty, Occupational Therapy

Overview

The Department of Occupational Therapy in the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University invites applications for an adjunct position in the entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program. Rank and salary commensurate with experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Primary oversight and administrative management of level I fieldwork in the mental health setting.
• Prior experience in the mental health field strongly preferred.
• Travel to/from clinical and community fieldwork and doctoral experiential sites is an expectation and requirement of this position.
• This role requires significant outreach, contact with, and timely communication with external constituents.
• Must fulfill duties as assigned by the Chair of the OT Department and/or the Dean of the College.

Other Experience and Qualifications

• Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum qualifications: earned doctoral degree from a USDE regionally accredited institution; current Wisconsin licensure as an occupational therapist (or eligibility for licensure) in good standing; current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT); at least 5 years clinical practice experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Preferred qualifications: documented previous experience working in mental health settings and documented experience teaching in an occupational therapy education program; evidence of engagement in community-based practice.
