Position Description

The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Manhattan University seeks outstanding applicants for a part-time Adjunct Professor for the Mental Health Counseling Master’s Program. This search is open to candidates specializing in all areas of Mental Health Counseling with special consideration given to those candidates with expertise in the areas of 1) ethical and professional training, 2) mentoring students in practicums and internships, and 3) using digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning, including teaching online.

Requirements

  • Must have earned a M.S. or Ph.D/Psy.D., or equivalent in Mental Health Counseling, or related area.
  • Hold New York State Licensure as a Mental Health Clinician or related license.
  • Outstanding clinical training, experience and supervision skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Some light lifting associated with setting up computers, document cameras, or other hardware needed for conducting a mixed in-person plus remote class.

Supplemental Information

  • Salary Range Based On Experience:
    • Instructor: $1477.28 per credit
    • Assistant Professor: $1526.25 per credit
    • Associate Professor: $1575.65 per credit
    • Professor: $1625.04 per credit
