Christopher Newport University’s Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance seeks adjunct faculty to teach individual courses in applied music, dance instruction, and theatre performance for the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters and beyond.

Requirements
- Earned graduate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited university in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 18 completed semester hours of related graduate course work
- Demonstrated ability for excellent teaching
- Official transcripts required at time of hire
Pay
Adjunct pay is based on education and experience, ranging from Instructor to Professor rank. Rates are per Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE):
- Instructor: $401 (½ hour), $826 (full hour)
- Professor: $539 (½ hour), $1,110 (full hour)
New rates for AY 26-27 are subject to change.
