Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty positions in Math. Positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed.
About the role
Adjunct Faculty teach college-level courses, including distance learning on and off campus during the day, evening, and weekends. This position may be located at the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, or Luray-Page County Center as needed. Applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, or DC.
Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of day, evening, and weekend classes
- Teach college-level math courses, including distance learning
- Utilize instructional technology and online course management tools such as Canvas
Requirements
- Master’s degree in the field or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in the field
- Ability to use instructional technology
- Unofficial transcripts must be submitted at the time of application (official transcripts required if hired)
- For degrees awarded outside the United States, include unofficial evaluations of foreign transcripts with the application
Qualifications
- Occupational experience in the field
- Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools
- College-level teaching experience; online teaching experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
Pay
The credit hour pay range is $794.00–$1,375.50.
Schedule
Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening, and weekend classes. Positions are part-time and not eligible for health or leave benefits.
