Overview / Job Summary

The Adjunct Faculty in Machining Technology will provide part-time instructional support in the machining fields, including manual and CNC machining processes. This position involves teaching theory and hands-on techniques to help students develop the skills necessary to excel in the machining industry.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Delivering lectures and hands-on instruction in machining technology courses.
  • Assisting in curriculum development and updating course materials according to industry standards.
  • Evaluating student performance, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring the proper use and maintenance of machining tools and equipment during lab sessions.
  • Collaborating with full-time faculty and industry partners to maintain course relevance.
  • Adhering to college policies and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Education: Associates Degree or higher from a nationally or regionally accredited institution, preferred.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Industry experience in machining technology, including CNC and manual machining, typically 4+ years, preferred.
    • Prior teaching or training experience in technical or adult education, preferred.
    • Strong understanding of machining processes, safety practices, and machine tool operation.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
    • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
    • Proficiency with computers and common software applications used in education.
    • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
