Adjunct Faculty - Lecturers

About the role

The School of Communication and Information seeks part-time lecturers for its master's program in Communication and Media. Please see the description of our program here and the list of courses we offer here. Within your cover letter, please let us know which courses in our program you feel most prepared to teach.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in the Communication and Media program
• Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi and assignments
• Participate in departmental meetings and committee work
• Maintain regular office hours and be available for student consultation

Requirements

• Master’s degree preferred; doctoral degree welcome
• Professional work experience is typical for our part-time faculty

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in a higher education setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and educational methodologies
