Adjunct Faculty (Lecture/Lab), Nursing

About the role

Mercy University seeks adjunct faculty members to teach courses in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs at Bronx and Dobbs Ferry campuses.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the undergraduate or graduate nursing programs.
• Teach lab courses in the undergraduate nursing program in clinical areas: Fundamentals, Pediatric, Parent Child, Medical Surgical, Psychiatric, and Community Health.
• Teach graduate courses in the following subjects: Family Nurse Practitioner primary care courses, advanced pharmacology, and NP role development course.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNSc, or DNP) is preferred for the graduate program.
• Applicants with a master’s degree must have a minimum of 5 years of full-time clinical experience in the discipline for the graduate program.
• A minimum of a master's degree in nursing is required for undergraduate courses.
• National certification is required for applicants teaching in nurse practitioner programs.
• National certification in other clinical specialties is preferred (MS in Nursing Education or MS in Nursing Administration).
• Lab experience is recommended for lab courses, but teaching experience is preferred.
