ADJUNCT FACULTY INSTRUCTOR - Online MSL Courses

Responsibilities

  • Support and guide student progress
  • Provide detailed and substantive feedback on student submissions
  • Grade assignments, tests, and exams
  • Use existing online materials, tools, and procedures

Requirements

  • Licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing or teaching law
  • At least 3 years of experience in the subject matter of the course for which they are engaged
  • Experience using Canvas or a similar learning management system
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Zoom

Skills

  • Legal knowledge commensurate with experience
  • Ability to interact effectively online
  • Strong grading and feedback skills

Pay

$1,000 per week of course instruction for an 8-week course, with a minimum of $5,333 for a 5-week course.

The School of Law reserves the right not to offer the course in that term if fewer than 8 students are enrolled. In such a case, you retain your faculty position, but no compensation will be paid.

Schedule

Part-time, temporary assignment.
