Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver didactic and laboratory education that aligns with State of New Mexico and National EMS Standards curriculum.
- Teach in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings under the direction of the EMS Program Director.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of three years’ work experience in EMS.
- Able to obtain NM instructor certification if not already NM certified.
- Current NM EMT or Paramedic license.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Five or more years of work experience in EMS.
- Detail-oriented and strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and handling high-pressure environments.
- EMT or Paramedic Level I or II instructor certification.
- Experience teaching at the community college level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- Experience teaching at the community college level.
