Adjunct Faculty in Emergency Medical Services

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver didactic and laboratory education that aligns with State of New Mexico and National EMS Standards curriculum.
• Teach in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings under the direction of the EMS Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of three years’ work experience in EMS.
• Able to obtain NM instructor certification if not already NM certified.
• Current NM EMT or Paramedic license.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Five or more years of work experience in EMS.
• Detail-oriented and strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and handling high-pressure environments.
• EMT or Paramedic Level I or II instructor certification.
• Experience teaching at the community college level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree.
• Experience teaching at the community college level.
