Texas A&M University - San Antonio is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor to teach in the Criminology/Criminal Justice program within the Department of Criminology and Political Science. Appointment begins in Fall 2025 and continuation depends on course availability.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in the Criminology/Criminal Justice program.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in criminal justice or related field from an accredited university.
  • At least one (1) year of university teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of university teaching experience (preferred).
  • Doctoral degree in criminal justice or related field from an accredited university (preferred).
  • Record of teaching excellence (preferred).

Application Details

Finalists will be required to provide two current, original letters of recommendation sent directly from the recommender. Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution. If transcripts are from an international institution, they must be translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator. Selected candidates must pass a pre-employment background investigation.
