Adjunct Faculty in Computer Science/Cybersecurity/Cyber Engineering Technology

About the Role

The department is seeking full/part-time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science, cybersecurity, and cyber engineering technology for Fall 2026. Most courses are taught in person; a few are offered online either synchronously or asynchronously.

Requirements

• Earned Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cyber Engineering Technology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• 18 graduate hours in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cyber Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
• Lecture and computer-based laboratory teaching experience or related industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working toward or has earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cyber Engineering Technology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.
• Broad training in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology and industry experience.
• Interest in active and collaborative learning and the instructional use of technology.
• Experience with a non-traditional commuter university setting.

Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
• Ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.

• Official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution before a letter of appointment can be issued.
• If transcripts are from an international institution, the applicant is responsible for translation and evaluation.
• All positions are security-sensitive; employment is contingent upon a criminal history check.
• Texas A&M University will not pay the $100,000 H-1B petition fee imposed after September 21, 2025, nor file new H-1B petitions under the Texas moratorium issued January 27, 2026.
