Duties/Responsibilities
- Design and delivery course content for credit courses
- Prepare course materials
- Absorb student learning
- Assign grades
- Refer students to support services
- Provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students
Requirements
- Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Ph.D. in history
- Peer-reviewed publication in early republic political history
- Expertise in early republic and 19th-century US political history
- Ability to teach a course in capitalism and slavery in the US, 1790-1850
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching courses on American expansion in the antebellum period
- Experience teaching courses on capitalism and slavery, 1790-1850
- Experience teaching courses on the history of Boston
Pay
Pay Range: $800/credit or $840/credit for those with terminal degrees
