About the role
The Education Department at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions in the graduate program in Special Education with expertise in supporting social, emotional, and behavioral growth across school settings. The department is enhancing its curriculum to better prepare future educators for today’s diverse classrooms, using assessments, feedback from the field, and collective expertise to continually improve the program. Keene State College holds CAEP accreditation for all educator preparation programs.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver course content for credit courses (50%)
- Prepare lesson plans and course materials (45%)
- Assess student learning and assign grades
- Refer students to support services
- Provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students
- Abide by USNH and KSC policies (5%)
- Participate in appropriate department/unit meetings
Requirements
- Earned Master’s degree in Education or related field by August 1, 2026
- Minimum of three years full-time teaching experience in special education settings in schools
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (required certification)

- College teaching experience
- Supervision experience
Pay
Pay Range: $800 per credit or $840 per credit with a terminal degree.
Location
Keene State College is located in the scenic Monadnock region of Southwest New Hampshire, approximately 2 hours from Boston or Hartford, CT, and 4 hours from New York City. The area offers outdoor recreation, cultural events, and a strong sense of community.
