About the Role

The Education Department at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions in the graduate program in Special Education. The department is enhancing the curriculum to better prepare future educators for today’s diverse classrooms, utilizing assessments, feedback from the field, and collective expertise to continually improve and evolve the program. Keene State College holds CAEP accreditation for all educator preparation programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver course content for credit courses (50%)
• Prepare lesson plans and course materials (45%):
  • Assess student learning
  • Assign grades
  • Refer students to support services
  • Provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students
• Abide with USNH and KSC policies (5%):
  • Participate in appropriate department/unit meetings

Requirements

• Earned Master’s degree in Education or related field by August 1, 2026
• Minimum of three years full-time teaching experience in special education settings in schools

Preferred Qualifications

• College teaching experience
• Supervision experience

Pay

Pay Range: $800.00–$840.00 per credit hour

Keene State College is located in the scenic Monadnock region of Southwest New Hampshire, approximately 2 hours from Boston or Hartford, CT, and 4 hours from New York City. The region offers outdoor recreation, cultural events, and a strong sense of community.
