Lone Star College-Magnolia Center seeks Adjunct Faculty in Geology to provide high-quality instruction in Earth Sciences. This part-time position focuses on planning, developing, and teaching courses that engage students and support academic success in line with LSC’s mission to foster lifelong learning.
Earth Sciences
- Teach Geology courses across various times and locations, including day, evening, and weekend classes.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that promote student involvement and learning.
- Advise students and evaluate their progress toward course objectives.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and orientations.
- Perform other duties reasonably related to instruction as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $55.44 per contact hour

- Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field, or Master’s with 18 graduate hours in Geology/Earth Sciences.
- Strong content mastery and subject-matter expertise.
- Experience teaching or assisting undergraduate courses.
- Theoretical expertise in one or more Geoscience disciplines.
- Part-time, semester-by-semester appointment contingent on student demand.
- Maximum teaching load: five classes per academic year.
- Vocational & Continuing Education Classes held in-person at LSC-Magnolia Center.
