Adjunct Faculty - General Practice, Division of Dental Hygiene - School of Dentistry

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygiene students in developing the knowledge and skills to provide oral health care to patients from a variety of cultural or socioeconomic backgrounds.

Requirements

• Graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in dental hygiene or a related field
• Current dental hygiene license
• Current CPR card
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience is preferred

Skills

• Expertise expected of a dental hygiene professional
