Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist dental hygiene students in developing the knowledge and skills to provide oral health care to patients from a variety of cultural or socioeconomic backgrounds.
Requirements
- Graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in dental hygiene or a related field
- Current dental hygiene license
- Current CPR card
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience is preferred

- Expertise expected of a dental hygiene professional
