Job Description
FINE 230: Sculpture & Expanded Media. An introduction to the fundamental tools, materials, techniques, concepts, and safety procedures of sculpture and related media. Through hands-on exploration of materials, students will develop skills in both traditional and contemporary sculptural methods. We will cover a variety of processes while learning essential safety protocols for working in a studio environment. Historical and contemporary sculptural practices will be examined through lectures and demonstrations.
About the role
This role is responsible for teaching the following course: FINE 230: Sculpture & Expanded Media.
Responsibilities
- An introduction to the fundamental tools, materials, techniques, concepts, and safety procedures of sculpture and related media.
- Through hands-on exploration of materials, students will develop skills in both traditional and contemporary sculptural methods.
- Cover a variety of processes while learning essential safety protocols for working in a studio environment.
- Examine historical and contemporary sculptural practices through lectures and demonstrations.
Requirements
- A master’s degree that demonstrates expertise appropriate for teaching a course/s listed in this announcement OR a 4-year professional degree (BFA) in art or design and equivalent expertise, training and experience, with an appropriate record of professional creative achievement.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating skills and experience in the curricular area.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
