The School of Health and Natural Sciences at Mercy College invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Adjunct Faculty of Exercise Science at our Dobbs Ferry campus. The position prioritizes candidates with experience teaching Motor Learning.
About the Role
This role joins the School of Health and Natural Sciences, which offers undergraduate programs in biology, clinical laboratory science, communication disorders, exercise science, nursing, occupational therapy assistant (AAS degree), and veterinary technology, along with five accredited graduate health professional programs (communication disorders, occupational therapy, nursing, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies).
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Exercise Science
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with students and colleagues
- Participate in departmental and institutional committees
- Contribute to the academic community through research and publication
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Exercise Science or related field preferred, M.S. in Exercise Science or related discipline required
- Knowledge of motor learning
- Excellent teaching record at the undergraduate level
- Commitment to working with a diverse population of undergraduate students
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with Blackboard and Zoom
