Responsibilities
- Adhering to College policies and procedures;
- Be responsive to student questions and requests for assistance;
- Participating in the assessment of student academic achievement;
- Attending Fall Convocation and/or adjunct faculty development;
- Supporting the College’s mission, vision, and values;
- Fulfil all contracted hours as scheduled.
- Be responsible for all aspects of teaching and delivering the credit courses to which he or she is assigned, including the utilization of the course learning management system (i.e., Angel, Blackboard, Canvas) for assigned courses;
- Deliver the course content in accordance with the Course Description with Student Outcomes (CDSOs).
- Participate in curriculum and program assessment, as requested by the department and/or dean.
- Provide any course documentation as requested by the immediate supervisor (i.e., program coordinator, course mentor, dean, etc.);
- Interact with the campus community as assigned or appropriate;
- Inputting of attendance data, midterm and final grades as requested by the college’s registrar;
- Ensuring that the course instruction and syllabus are kept current and reviewed each term;
- Laboratory responsibilities.8. Sets up equipment and materials including computer hardware and software as required for laboratory exercises;
- Affirms the proper and safe working condition of laboratory equipment;
- Maintains laboratory cleanliness and organization;
- Provides routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and makes minor repairs;
- Covers with appropriate instructor replacement or procedures for major repairs or calibration of equipment;
- Is responsible for security of the assigned laboratories and their associated equipment and supplies;
- Issues and monitors laboratory equipment and parts to students working in lab at open lab times;
- Completes special projects as approved by EMS Program Director;
- Sets up and learns the proper operation and maintenance procedures of lab equipment.
Requirements
- EMS- Instructor Certification- State of Ohio;
- Emergency Medical Technician(EMT) or Paramedic Certification- State of Ohio.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Higher;
- Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic Certification- National Registry of EMT;
- Basic Life Support Instructor - American Heart Association;
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor - American Heart Association;
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor - American Heart Association.
