EMS Adjunct Faculty
About the role
MSSU is seeking an Adjunct instructor(s) to teach on campus in the area(s) of Emergency Medical Services, beginning August 3, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Nationally Registered Paramedic with the NREMT
- Valid State Paramedic license
- 3 years of experience as an ALS provider
- Preferred credentials: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Prehospital Trauma Life Support, International Trauma Life Support, Advanced Medical Life Support, and Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals
- Preferrred certifications in one or multiple disciplines

- Official transcripts are required 45 days after contract is issued
- The selected candidate must be available on the Missouri Southern State University campus on Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The remaining hours will be dedicated to conducting clinical rotation site visits and checks within the Joplin area
Requirements
This position requires a commitment of 20 hours per week.

Schedule
