Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years of professional experience; OR
- An Associate degree AND six (6) years of professional experience; OR
- Be a Physician, Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Paramedic currently licensed in California; OR
- Be an Advanced EMT or EMT who is currently certified in California;
- Have at least two (2) years of academic or clinical experience in the practice of emergency medicine or prehospital care in the last five (5) years;
- Be approved by the program director in coordination with the program clinical coordinator as qualified to teach the topics to which s/he is assigned.
- The equivalent;
- Successful candidate must pass a Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint background check;
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed or Accredited EMT, EMT-P, or RN.
- Experience as an EMT or RN.
- Possess an active California EMT license and current CPR.
Compensation
$78.86-$92.66 per hour.
