The Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering (MMAE).
About the role
The department seeks candidates whose interests and expertise align with its most critical teaching needs, including solid mechanics, dynamics and control, energy systems, and mechatronics.
Responsibilities
- Teach and develop a variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Perform professional service activities within and outside the university.
Requirements
- Hold an earned Doctorate degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials engineering, robotics engineering, or a closely related field, at the time of appointment.
- Demonstrate the ability or potential to teach and develop a variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Perform professional service activities within and outside the university.
Qualifications
- A notable record of past teaching experiences and scholarly activity is preferred.
- Effective communication skills are required.
