Responsibilities

  • Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
  • Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.
  • Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
  • Submits requested information within established timelines.
  • Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
  • Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
  • Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s).
  • Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
  • In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.

    Qualifications

    • A qualified faculty member in Data Analytics.
    • Data meets the program standard through one of four routes:
      • Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in database, data analytics, information systems or related field as appropriate to the program;
      • Possesses an earned related or out-of field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in database, data analytics, information systems or related field as appropriate to the program;
      • Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following: Professional certification (national, regional or state), Two years of in-field professional employment, Documentation of teaching excellence, Documentation of research and publication in the field, Documentation of relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military;
      • Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in database, data analytics, information systems or related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following: Professional certification (national, regional or state) in the field, Two years of in-field professional employment, Documentation of teaching excellence, Documentation of research and publication in the field, Documentation of relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.
