Adjunct Faculty, Culinary - Baking/Pastry - SP27

College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach Culinary - Baking/Pastry. COD faculty are committed to facilitating and supporting student success in learning, and strive to meet the individual educational needs of a unique, multicultural campus. The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings.
• Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats.
• Student evaluation.
• Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate's degree in the content area is required.
• 5 years industry experience as pastry chef or chef is required.
• Food Service Manager's License is required.
• This is for an in-person only teaching opportunity.
• Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred.
• Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.

Schedule

Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days, evenings and weekends.

Pay

These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
