About the role
The Computing Sciences Department at Finger Lakes Community College is seeking innovative and adaptable educators committed to student engagement, excellence in teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Courses may include, but are not limited to: Any Computing Sciences (CSC) course offered within the department.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of the current subject area.
- Implements course outcomes based on the master syllabus.
- Prepares and distributes an updated course outline specific to the sections taught.
- Prepares and creates lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities for students.
- Teaches courses and evaluates student performance.
- Maintains accurate student records.
- SUBMIT pertinent data to the department and/or the College.
- Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree, an Associates degree, or a certification in a related field and relevant work experience.
- A demonstrated willingness to learn and teach new technologies.
- A demonstrated willingness to increase teaching proficiency.
Qualifications
- A Masters degree in a related field.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.

- Adjunct rate of pay for the 2026-2027 Academic Year is $1,087 per contact hour.
