Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the current subject area.
  • Implements course outcomes based on the master syllabus.
  • Prepares and distributes an updated course outline specific to the sections taught.
  • Prepares and creates lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities for students.
  • Teaches courses and evaluates student performance.
  • Maintains accurate student records.
  • SUBMITS pertinent data to the department and/or the College.

Effective Communication, Organizational, and Interpersonal Skills

Required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree, or a certification in a related field and relevant work experience.
  • A demonstrated willingness to learn and teach new technologies.
  • A demonstrated willingness to increase teaching proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.

Additional Information

  • Adjunct rate of pay for the 2026-2027 Academic Year is $1,087 per contact hour.
  • NYS Retirement SUNY Voluntary Savings Plan.
  • FLCC Tuition Waiver.
