Adjunct Faculty - Communication Theory
Job Summary
The department of Communications at Adelphi University invites applications for an adjunct faculty (part-time) position to teach Communication Theory during the Fall 2026 semester. The course meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00am to 11:50am on Adelphi University's Garden City campus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging instruction
- Absess student learning
- Maintain regular office hours as appropriate
- Submit grades in accordance with university deadlines
Qualifications
- A master's degree in Communications or a closely related field is required.
- College-level teaching experience is required.
- A Ph.D. in Communications or a closely related field is preferred.
- Professional experience in the communications or media industries is desirable.

Pay
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,937 per credit.
