Adjunct Faculty- CNA Clinicals

About the role

Adjunct Faculty are hired on an as-needed basis to teach 8 or 16 week courses at Ivy Tech Community College. Responsibilities include facilitating student learning, using technology effectively, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes according to College policy and course objectives.
• Use technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Create and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Manage student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engage with students in a way that positively impacts their experience and demonstrates active teaching strategies.
• Interact professionally and cooperatively with students and colleagues, adhering to College policies and guidelines.
• Ensure knowledge of and implementation of emergency and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of current technologies relevant to the area of instruction.
• Meet faculty credentials as outlined in ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.
• Show appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity in the workplace.
• For CNA Preparation, must be a licensed nurse with at least one year of licensed nurse experience in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Transcripts and/or relevant certifications/licenses required at time of hire.
• Offers of employment contingent upon satisfactory background check.
• Long-term care experience required.
