Adjunct Faculty Clinical Nursing

About the Role

Adjunct faculty are essential to providing a quality academic experience for Indiana Wesleyan University students. Adjuncts will employ a range of engaging teaching strategies designed to foster student learning and stimulate class discussion. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning and be able to integrate their Christian faith into the classroom content.

This position is for nursing instruction in the pre-licensure program, with clinical teaching opportunities in Marion, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and/or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Employ engaging teaching strategies to foster student learning and class discussion.
• Integrate Christian faith into classroom content and instruction.
• Teach nursing courses in pre-licensure programs, including clinical components.

Requirements

• Strong Christian commitment and adherence to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
• Bachelor's-prepared Registered Nurse (RN) from an accredited university.
• Active Indiana RN license.
• CPR Certification.
• Health clearance as required by the clinical facility.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Currency in clinical nursing skills.
