About the role
The Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Materials Science at Fayetteville State University seeks temporary (adjunct) instructors to teach introductory and service courses in chemistry, physics, geology, and the physical sciences for science majors, as well as nursing and other non-science majors.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory and service courses in chemistry, physics, geology, and the physical sciences for science majors, as well as nursing and other non-science majors.
- Develop and deliver online courses as needed.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree with 18 credit hours in the desired teaching discipline.
- Experience with Online Education delivery is beneficial.
- All degrees must be from accredited institutions.
- Individual programs require specific licensure/certification.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse student populations.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
Adjunct positions are employed for one semester of one year only on a part-time or full-time basis. Rank is dependent upon credentials.
Pay
Commensurate with Education and Experience.
