About the role

The Department of Chemistry at Hofstra University seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach either introductory General Chemistry lecture or lab courses or Organic Chemistry lab courses. The teaching load is one or two courses per semester.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry labs

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (required)
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment
• Doctorate in Chemistry or a related field (preferred)

Benefits

• Compensation: $1,422–$1,794 per credit
