Adjunct Faculty, CAD

Job Summary

The successful candidate will teach courses in the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) program. We are specifically seeking individuals with experience using Revit and/or Civil 3D software. Courses are typically offered in the evenings at the Grayslake campus.

Job Description

• Create and distribute a course syllabus.
• Teach all scheduled classes.
• Respond to and evaluate students.
• Follow all College, Division, and Department policies and procedures.
• Develop instructional materials.
• Audit student learning and assign grades.
• Attend required Adjunct meetings in the Fall and Spring semesters.
• Participate in college governance and other aspects of academic life.
• Maintain current knowledge of subject matter.

Required Qualifications

• Associate in Applied Science degree in CAD or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
• Five (5) or more years (10,000 hours) of recent experience in the design field using AutoCAD/ SolidWorks/Revit.
• Five (5) or more years of experience teaching primarily the content for each CAD specific course at the secondary or post-secondary level.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience.
• Demonstrated professional learning or certification in evidence-based student-focused pedagogical teaching and assessment practice such as ACUE, workshops and data use.
• Recent experience in the design field.

Pay

Per Load Hour Compensation Schedule 2025 -2026 - $1,373
2026 -2027 - $1,414
