About the role

MassBay fosters educational excellence and academic success to prepare students for local and global citizenship, to promote their personal growth, to meet critical workforce demands of communities, and to contribute to the region’s economic development. This position involves teaching courses in Business, Management, Marketing, Economics, Hospitality, Interior Design, and related fields at MassBay Community College.

Responsibilities

  • Create syllabi and develop curricula addressing course/program requirements and student learning outcomes to meet graduation competencies as appropriate.
  • Use appropriate assessment methods consistently and regularly to measure student understanding.
  • Maintain excellent communication with students, department, and division staff throughout the semester.
  • Engage in professional development activities to maintain excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Submit midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, early alerts, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by required due dates.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned by the Dean consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Community College experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to promote and evaluate student learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to use information technology effectively.

Benefits

This position offers a salary range of $1,512 - $1,715 per credit.

The pay for this position is based on the number of credits taught.
