About the Role

This position involves teaching courses in the Biology program, designing and delivering a competency-based curriculum using multiple instructional modalities, developing course work that prepares students for professional positions in Allied Health and Biology, and demonstrating strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• To teach courses in the Biology program
• To design and deliver a competency-based curriculum using multiple instructional modalities, including online, hybrid and lecture
• To develop course work that prepares students for the challenging professional positions within the fields of Allied Health and Biology
• To communicate effectively with students and colleagues
• To collaborate with others in a diverse and inclusive environment
• To demonstrate a commitment to CCRI’s mission
• To plan, develop, present, and modify courses from proposal to syllabus, delivery, assessment, and evaluation
• To convey knowledge and skills effectively to students
• To continue professional development as an educator
• To use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities
• To assess student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes
• To demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience teaching at the college level (preferred)
• Master’s degree in a related field (preferred)
