Adjunct Faculty, Biology
Job Description
Teaches a full range of biology courses including majors, non-majors, and allied health career/nursing pre-requisite courses.
Other responsibilities include student conferences, maintaining office hours, and participating in course preparation and evaluation, continuing education and community services programs.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Biology or Biological Sciences; or master’s degree or higher in related field with 18 graduate-level course hours in Biology and/or Biological Sciences
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
- Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
- Appropriately responds to the needs of the community
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Biology or Biological Sciences
- Teaching experience
Special Note
This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.
